Tenor. Kyounghan Seo started to studying at Korean National University of Arts from 2006 to 2013 with Professor Jubae Jeon and Professor Sangho Choi. In 2014, he moved to Germany for an advanced music degree at the Academy of
Music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin with Professor Scot Weir.
Following his graduation in 2017, he became a member of the ensemble at Theater Nordhausen. There, he sang the roles of Alfredo in La Traviata, Cassio in Otello, Alfred in Die Fledermaus, Chevalier de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites, Fenton in Die Lustige Weiber von Windsor, Prince Charming in Cendrillon, Belmote in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte and Lenski in Eugen Onegin.
He won 3rd prize at the International Virgilijus Noreika Competition in Lituania and debut prize in Lituanian National Opera Theatre and in Klaipeda State Music Theatre.
He performed in numerous concert halls in Korea as well, including the Incheon Culture and Arts Centre, the KNUA Concert Hall in Seoul, and Seongnam Arts Centre.
He acquired his first performing experience as an opera singer in Korea during his years of musical study, as he performed a part in Die Zauberflöte.
Kyounghan made his debut as Idomeneo at the Academy of Music “Hanns Eisler”, where he also sang Franz Schubert’s Die Winterreise.
His future engagements include Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, Camille de Rosillon in Die
Lustige Witwe, Tonio in La fille du regiment and Alfredo in La traviata in Lithuanian
National Opera Theatre.
