Hanna Staley was born in Clovis, California and performs with California Opera. As a frequent
solo artist, she has performed the roles of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Belinda in Dido and
Aeneas, Iolanthe in Iolanthe, Clotilde in Norma, Annina in La Traviata, Woglinde in Das
Rheingold, and Pamina in The Magic Flute.

Ms. Staley won 1st place in two divisions in the United States International Music Competition
and was a finalist in the Boris Martinovich International Competition in 2025. She performed
with the Idyllwild Arts Festival Choir at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. As a prominent recitalist,
Ms. Staley has toured nationally and internationally with choruses performing in New York with
Fresno City choirs at Carnegie Hall, and also has toured with choruses in Germany and Belgium.
She has performed with the International Honor Choir Honors Performance Series at the Sydney
Opera House in Australia. For ten years, Ms. Staley has served as a cantorial soloist at Saint Paul
Newman Center in Fresno, CA. Ms. Hanna Staley serves as President of the California Opera
Association Chorus and is a librarian and graphic artist.
