Chan Cheuk Hei Andrew took part in opera productions ranging from the early Baroque to the modern era. His solo roles include Snout (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Raoul (The Merry Widow) and Liberto (L’incoronazione di Poppea) in the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts (HKAPA) productions. He also performed in various operas including Lucia di Lammermoor, La fille du regiment, Manon, Salome and Poet Li Bai. Andrew also participated in other large scale choral works such as the tenor solo in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle and Beethoven’s Symphony No.9. Apart from vocal genres, Andrew also arranges music for the Hong Kong Music Academy Orchestra, which was broadcasted on television.


After studying in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Andrew embarked his music studies and received a Bachelor of Music Degree in voice from the HKAPA under the tuition of David Quah. After his graduation, Andrew is frequently invited to perform in various celebration events, with his repertoire ranging from opera excerpts to musical theatre. Other qualifications include the licentiate diploma in recital singing (LTCL) and the licentiate diploma in musical theory, criticism and literature (LMusTCL) from the Trinity College of Music London. He also achieved ABRSM Grade 8 piano with distinction when he was at a young age.
